WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Women’s empowerment lies at the heart of GSS’s development approach. We facilitate the formation and strengthening of Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to promote economic independence, leadership, and collective decision-making.

Over the past five years, more than 4,600 economically disadvantaged rural women have been empowered through SHGs, supported by capacity-building programs, leadership training, financial literacy, and social awareness initiatives. These groups act as platforms for savings, credit access, income generation, and social solidarity.

Microenterprise Development

GSS supports women to establish individual and group-based microenterprises, fostering sustainable income and economic resilience. We also facilitate linkages with banks and financial institutions to improve access to credit. Through this initiative, 400 women have successfully transitioned into rural entrepreneurs, strengthening household income and community cohesion.
